I admire editorial work so much because often the ideas are so clever and the composition of imagery reflects the concept behind what the designer/author is trying to say, however what frustrates me about it how easy they make it look! Every time I see a successful editorial image I think 'oh that looks easy enough, I could do something like that' then when I actually try I can't think of anything! Hopefully with these kind of briefs I will get better at generating ideas.
I found that going out and finding inspiration in the world, not just in my own head, is very helpful for me and something I need to remember when I feel stuck.
