I really tried not to make my postcard designs too complicated. I wanted them to highlight the main elements of the poems/writings I chose to focus on. Using paper cuts has helped me with this, as they are shaped based it is easier to condense down imagery and turn them into more of a symbol than a super complicated drawing. The colours I picked out from the poster design I had started, I am very conscious of all the designs working together as a set - so this was a contributing factor.
