When looking for paper cut inspiration Helen Musselwhite came up a lot. I really like the intricate detail within her work, as well as the scenes she creates. Looking at whole scenes rather than smaller motif images is something I am doing within my work at the moment for the Mansfield Park brief. Using the right amount of shape and texture is something I struggle with, sometimes there is more of one than the other. However, seeing the way Helen Musselwhite manages to do this helps me to figure out how to balance an image.
