Ideas behind the final design
Following the theme of the time periods I enjoy working with, I decided to incorporate this into my self portrait. I knew I didn't want the character to be too representational, and that was the challenge for me. Eventually, the decision to put some of the motifs I tend to work with into the image helped me to focus on a concept. Overall I am happy with my outcome!
