Book Shop Research in Leeds

Today after Uni I popped into town to have a look at some book designs and merchandise that may inspire me when thinking about compositions, colour, etc. Firstly, I had a looked in the home ware department in Anthropologie where I found some really lovely ideas for designing a pattern for the edge pages of a book, covers by Anna Bond (one of my favourite practitioners) and shiny bookmarks. Just in general, all the things in there are so beautiful, I only wish I had a huge mansion to decorate. Next I went to Waterstones and tried to do specific research of the young adults books but also wandered over to the 'beautiful books' section, as ultimately this is what I am aiming to produce.
