I wanted the last illustration to represent the life in the garden at the end of the book, a scenic image. The only reason really for me putting a swan in there was because I like the form of them and I wanted an excuse to draw one at some point in this project. The pureness of the swan and use of white also changes the tone of the image slightly, this one is much brighter than the others.
