Finished Illustration 3 - 'this is Miss Mary, Sir, she said'

Finally this image is completed! The chosen characterisation of Mary came into fruition whilst developing this illustration. This is the only image where Mary is looking at the viewer, including them in her uncertainty of the situation (having to meet Lord Craven). My decision to include Mrs Medlock was mostly due to wanting to include some victorian examples of a maid's dress. Looking at the fashion/clothing of an era is something I am very interested in.
